For more than 1000 years Sussex has drawn artists to her rolling Downland landscape and exciting coastline. Constable, Turner, Blake and Palmer were all inspired by, and worked in Sussex. The 20th century saw the revival of this ancient tradition. This talk tells the story of how Sussex found herself at the heart of the Modern British Art movement.
