Saving Bart’s Hospital, Lunchtime Talk

King Henry VIII Gate at Bart’s Hospital is the only statue of Henry in London. After the Reformation, when Bart’s almost closed, Henry was petitioned by his surgeon, Vicary, the Lord mayor and Aldermen of the City of London, to restore the hospital which he did.
The speaker is Wendy Mead OBE formally the Chief Commoner in the City of London.
