Exhibition – Art Banner created by secondary school boys at St Philip Howard Catholic School

Come and see this lovely banner !  As part of a project funded by The Arts Society Walberton, St Philip Howard Catholic School in Barnham will be exhibiting the final result of their work in the Museum’s Jubilee Gallery.  This year the focus was to show secondary school boys, who tend to be less inclined to opt for Art at GCSE, what Art as a subject could offer beyond Key Stage 3.

A contemporary artist, Sarah Pimenta, ran an all-day screen-printing workshop for twenty-five Year 8 boys – the result is an impressive banner, measuring 4 metres by 1.5 metres !  Free entry to Jubilee Gallery.
